Welcome to My Ride Tracker
Thank you for visiting. My Ride Tracker began as a simple way to log motorcycle mileage — and has grown into a full toolkit for rides, fuel, parking, cleaning, maintenance, road charges, analytics, and more. Here’s the story so far, and what’s coming next.
Thank you for visiting My Ride Tracker. I hope you find it useful — whether you are logging a single commute or building a long-term record of ownership.
How it started
I began developing this site for one clear reason: tracking motorcycle mileage. After each ride I wanted to record the latest odometer reading, let the system calculate miles travelled from the previous entry, and keep a sense of when those rides happened — day by day, across the week.
From there it was natural to want a yearly picture: total miles travelled, averages, and a clearer view of how much I was actually riding.
What you can track today
Mileage was only the beginning. The platform now covers the everyday costs and habits that sit alongside the road:
- Mileage — journey logging, running odometer totals, and yearly averages
- Petrol — station, fuel cost, fuel type, payment type, receipts, and useful stats
- Parking — fees and parking history kept with the rest of your costs
- Cleaning — washes and detailing recorded in one place
- Maintenance — services, repairs, and upkeep history
- Road charges — tolls and related notices alongside your other records
- Weather — ride-friendly conditions to help you plan (continuing to evolve)
- Analytics — statistical views across your activity and spend
A clearer place to work
Recently the account experience has been improved with a cleaner user dashboard. The homepage follows a similar direction, with a focus on quick links, next actions, news and updates, membership, and totals / insights — so you can see what matters without digging.
Work continues on unifying the design, hardening reliability, and clearing remaining errors so the platform feels consistent and dependable as it grows.
What’s next
Development is ongoing. Near-term priorities include:
- Android companion app — log rides, manage vehicles, record petrol visits, and stay in sync with the website from your phone
- Group and shared riding tools — better support for riding with others as the mobile experience matures
- Deeper insights — richer statistics and clearer trends over time
- Reminders and notifications — timely prompts for maintenance and other follow-ups
- Design polish and stability — one coherent look across modules, with fewer rough edges
If you are just getting started, add a vehicle, log your first mileage entry, and explore from there. Thank you again for being here — your feedback helps shape what comes next.
